AngioDynamics Presents the St. Jude Gala

ALBANY, N.Y., (August 1, 2013) - AngioDynamics, (NASDAQ: ANGO), a leading provider of innovative, minimally invasive medical devices for vascular access, surgery, peripheral vascular disease and oncology, today announced it will sponsor the inaugural St. Jude Gala from 6-11 p.m., August 29, 2013, at the Saratoga National Golf Club.

The event will raise funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which through research and treatment advances cures, as well as the means of prevention, for catastrophic pediatric diseases. Globally recognized for sharing its research protocols and treating children regardless of a family's ability to pay, St. Jude was awarded the most trusted charity in the U.S. in 2010 by Harris Interactive.

For those seeking to support the campaign beyond attending the gala, certain levels of additional sponsorship can provide a St. Jude's patient with one major surgical procedure; provide 20 doses of oxygen to keep a patient's immune system strong; make available ten child-sized wheelchairs and 20 hours of physical therapy; or provide 20 red blood cell transfusions, three ultrasound studies, and one CT scan for a St. Jude Patient.

"It takes $1.8 million a day to make the St. Jude mission a reality - a mission that ensures children receive leading-edge medical care around the world," said Joseph M. DeVivo, AngioDynamics President & Chief Executive Officer. "It's a mission we can get behind, and one that ties directly into our efforts to improve patient's lives with innovative, high-quality medical devices. It is not just us, however, and I commend our partners and the Capital Region business community for pulling together for such a great cause. Someday, I would love to see our area fund a whole day at the hospital, but today we make our stand and join the fight. In years to come, we will recall something special started right here."

In addition to the gala, at noon on the 29th, supporters of the campaign can visit the Community Outreach Booth at the Saratoga Race Course, for a day at the track that includes a race named after the event. Additionally, after party tickets are available for those who would like to join in for dancing and dessert. "This event is promising to be the premier Capital Region gala supporting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in the Capital Region," said Laura Pevahouse, St. Jude Regional Director. "Since St. Jude opened its doors in 1962 the overall survival for childhood cancer has risen from 20 percent to 80 percent. With cancer still taking the lives of more children over the age of one, than any disease in the U.S., there remains much to do. AngioDynamics, as well as other key sponsors of the gala, including Blue Shield of Northeastern New York, Key Bank and Bond Schoeneck & King, are taking on that challenge, and I invite you to join us by supporting this incredible event."
