AngioDynamics Issues Statement Regarding Stryker recall of Angiographic Catheters

ALBANY, N.Y., July 27, 2016 -- AngioDynamics (NASDAQ:ANGO), a leading provider of innovative, minimally invasive medical devices for vascular access, surgery, peripheral vascular disease and oncology, issued the following statement regarding the voluntary recall of angiographic catheters reprocessed by Stryker Sustainable Solutions:

AngioDynamics is aware that Stryker Sustainability Solutions has initiated a recall on certain resterilized AngioDynamics Soft-Vu Angiographic Catheters. No Soft-Vu angiographic catheters sold directly by AngioDynamics are being recalled. The Soft-Vu catheter line is intended and indicated for single use. AngioDynamics believes this to be the safest use of its products. The angiographic catheters subject to the recall are specifically Stryker Sustainability Solutions products.

According to Stryker Sustainability Solutions, this division of Stryker is a medical device reprocessor that historically collects unused or expired medical devices through their open-but-unused program. The open-but-unused program includes repackaging, relabeling and resterilizing unused or expired medical devices.

Stryker Sustainability Solutions has no connection to AngioDynamics and has neither sought nor been given any approval by AngioDynamics to reprocess or resterilize AngioDynamics products.
